About our shed
The Shed was an initiative and founded by the Rotary Club of Southern Districts in 2012.
Men’s Sheds are a modern version of the shed in the backyard that has long been a part of Australian culture. Traditionally, this is where men retreat to when they need time to themselves, time to think and time to reconnect with what is important to them in their life.
Men’s Sheds are very much about reducing social isolation among men and focusing on wellbeing and health issues for men.
Opening Times
Shed opening times are:
Monday – Saturday 8.00am – 12.00pm
Various activities also held outside of these times
Our Shed & Mental Health
Our Shed supports a number of initiatives aimed at providing help to those in our community suffering from mental health issues. These include Beyond Blue, R U OK and the Act Belong Commit programs as well as others.
